Building upon its last session on October 24, the focus of this upcoming Planning Commission meeting will be further consideration of land use, development, and infrastructure constraints in the Local Coastal Land Use Plan (LCLUP).

This meeting will include a presentation supporting Planning Commission consideration of various types of land uses including residential, commercial, and mixed-use options. Based on these discussions and further Planning Commission direction, three new draft chapters of the LCLUP (Land Use, Development, and Public Works) will be prepared for Planning Commission review. Community input will continue to be encouraged and welcomed throughout this process.

The LCLUP is the policy component of City's Local Coastal Program. It's scope includes the following topics pursuant to the California Coastal Act:

Land Use
Coastal Access
Coastal Recreation
Coastal Resources
Coastal Hazards

Please plan on attending and participating in the November 14 Planning Commission meeting.
